Popcorn Sales Info

Why do we sell popcorn?

Somewhere between 30 and 35 percent of the money collected for popcorn comes back to our unit as commission!  The money we raise in our popcorn sales has taken the place of collecting dues for den and pack activities.  If enough money is earned, it is also used to offset the cost of day camp and Webelos Weekend for the Scouts.  It is also used to pay the entrance fee for our scouts in the District Pinewood Derby (held in the spring) and other activities.

An additional portion of the money goes to Council, to help support the camp facilities for the boys.

If possible, please collect the money when you get the order.  You are encouraged to turn the money into Vicki at the beginning of den meetings as you collect it.  This will make things MUCH easier at the final turn-in.  Checks should be made out to “BSA Pack 7140”.  If you get a military donation, we will issue that person a special recognition card, so make sure you have a way to get the card to them.

Each boy should have 1 prize sheet, 2 order sheets, a collection envelope, and this letter.
